Jesse Bowman Wins All American Tour Home Room Stop
The January 19-21 weekend featured four 2006/2007 McDermott All American Tour stops around the country, one of them being a $1,000 added 8-ball event with thirty-nine players, hosted by owner Dwaine Bowman at Leisure Time in E. Moline, Illinois, on Saturday. The American CueSports Alliance-produced event featured a double-elimination format on bar boxes, and Rodney Flenoi (E. Moline, Illinois) ran undefeated to the finals. In the hot-seat match, Flenoi – rated a “5” on a regional handicap system used - clipped Josh Johnson (Bettendorf, IA), rated a “6”, 5-4. Earlier in the A-bracket semi-finals, Rodney had clipped Scott Kitto [6] (Marion, IA), 5-5, and Josh Johnson out pointed Steve Lang (Davenport, IA) [4], 6-4. 3rd-round loser Jesse Bowman [6] (E. Moline, IL) continued on a tear in the B-bracket by eliminating Kitto [6] 6-3 in the quarterfinals, Lang [4] 6-3 in the semifinals and Johnson [6] 6-4 in the finals.
